This work, which started as an attempt to index only works by DC Comics has evolved to be an attempt to index many comic books that were published from the late 1800s to the modern day. Though, by no means a catalog of every comic ever released, it is an effort to catalog the most notable and well-known comics. 

Categories: 

Main Companies: Companies whose comics will be spread throughout the Ages due to their long history. 

• List: DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Archie Comics, Dark Horse Comics, & Image Comics. 

Strips: Comics that originated in newspapers. 

Misc. Comics: Comic lines that were published by companies other than the main companies listed above and/or by numerous companies throughout their history. 

Foreign Comics: Comics published outside of the United States, i.e. European comics and Japanese manga. This section will be sparse as it will be limited to works that I am most familiar with. 

Media Adaptations: Comics that adapt or branch off from media (literature, movies + tv, video games, etc.).
